SUN

Neanthe Bella Palms thrive in a variety of lighting conditions, but a room with medium or filtered bright light is best. They’ll do well a few feet away from east or south-facing windows. Do not keep your plant in direct sunlight. 

WATER

Keep soil slightly moist, with a brief period of drought between waterings. Water well once the top 2-3 inches of the soil are dry. Reduce frequency during fall and winter.

AIR

Mimic a tropical environment with temperatures between 65º-80º and a high moisture content. Provide a regular boost of humidity by:

• Adding a humidifier nearby

• Creating a pebble tray that lives underneath the pot

• Placement in a bathroom or kitchen, if lighting is suitable

• Misting the leaves 2-4x per week with non-tap water

PET FRIENDLY

The Neanthe Palm is safe for cats and dogs.

AESTHETIC

Native to tropical areas of Southern Mexico and Guatemala, the Neanthe is a species of small palm trees that grow under the canopy of the rainforest. Their thin stems grow up in clusters, with fine, feather-like, green leaves flaring out on each branch. Indoors, these can grow up to 4 feet tall, making them compact and versatile for any space.

OUR RECS

We recommend a 4-inch or 7-inch ceramic planter with a drainage hole to provide ideal moisture balance for your Neanthe Palm. When repotting, keep it in a planter of the same size or no more than 2 inches larger.  

Ideal soil amendments include combining perlite with your standard potting mix.
